Willis McGahee Puts Miami Hurricanes Touchdown Streak II at Two Weeks

by Hurricanes Football

Former Miami Hurricanes and current Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee scored on a 24-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of the Broncos’ 35-32 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The touchdown puts the Miami Hurricanes Touchdown Streak II at two weeks after the initial streak of 149 weeks came to an end two weeks ago.

McGahee was third on the touchdown streak leader board with 63, and now joins Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne and New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham among the former Hurricanes to score a touchdown since the initial streak ended.

The score was McGahee’s third rushing touchdown of the season, and his fourth overall. His 111 rushing yards puts him at 886 yards on the year. He was tackled in the end zone in the first quarter by Vikings defensive end Jared Allen for a safety.
