It’s not quite the 11 former Hurricanes that were named to the Pro Bowl following the 2009 season, or the 10 that went following last season. But with five former players headed to Hawaii for January’s Pro Bowl, the Miami Hurricanes once again lead all programs.
This year’s representatives are Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed and linebacker Ray Lewis, New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore, and New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork.
Lewis, Reed, Wilfork, and Graham were named starters for their respective conferences.
Lewis was named to his 13th Pro Bowl, while Reed was named to his eighth. Wilfork was named to this fourth Pro Bowl and Gore to his third. Graham is a first-time Pro Bowler.
FOX will broadcast the 2012 Pro Bowl on January 29 from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii at 7:00 PM ET.
