The upcoming weekend is a big one for UM.  Coaches and fans alike are hoping to gain at least one, if not more, commitment/s.

So what is Rising Senior Day, you ask?  Well, it is a gathering of 2013 recruits and their families in which UM coaches and players attempt to form a closer bond with one another.  Expect to see committed and uncommitted high schoolers, ones who are high on Miami’s priority list.

According to InsideTheU.com, the following UM commitments plan on attending: WR Travis Johnson (Tampa Jesuit), TE Jeremy Kerr (St. Petersburg), DT Keith Bryant (Atlantic), S Jamal Carter (Southridge), and RB Ray Lewis III (Lake Mary).

Here is a list of uncommitted players that plan on attending: WR Jordan Cunningham (University School), OL Denver Kirkland (Booker T. Washington), DE Tim Williams (University Lab), DL Jaynard Bostwick (Port St. Lucie), DT Marquedius Bain (University School), LB Jermaine Grace (Miramar), LB Matthew Thomas (Booker T. Washington) and S Michael Parker (Kettle Run).

Jordan Cunningham has been high on Miami’s radar and hopefully he decides to play for his hometown team.  Denver Kirkland also has Miami high on his list but Florida State is considered to be right behind the ‘Canes.

If anyone were to commit to UM this weekend, it would be Tim Williams.  Williams recently announced that Miami is his leader but he doesn’t plan on making a decision until after signing day.  But hey, you never know.

Jaynard Bostick also placed Miami high on his list, but he will not dismiss playing out of state.

As far as Jermaine Grace and Matthew Thomas–at one time they were both thought to have Miami as their leaders.  However, that may not be the case anymore.  The good thing about Grace is that his former teammate happens to be UM CB Tracy Howard.  Perhaps he can sway Grace.  As far as Thomas, it has been rumored that Florida State is at the top of his list, but his family would like him to stay in Miami.

Michael Parker has named Miami as his leader but he will not rule out West Virginia.
