The Miami Herald is reporting that former S Ray Ray Armstrong is now listed on the roster at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.
According to Armstrong’s dad, Albert, his son is extremely happy there. Said Albert, “He’s already in Alabama. He’s very excited. I was surprised to see him as excited as he is. He’s looking forward to playing football again. He sounds like a young kid ready to go.”
As stated in the Herald, Armstrong will wear the number eight “for his new program, which describes itself ‘as a private Christian university’ that is affiliated with the Church of Christ and was founded in 1942 as Montgomery Bible School.”
So what happened to the lawsuits that Armstrong’s attorney, Matt Morgan, was to file? It now appears that they will not file any injunctions. Said Morgan, “…despite the existence of several potential merit based claims against the University of Miami, Ray Ray has decided to continue his education and college football career with another program that has welcomed him like family.”
We here at Canes Warning wish you the best, Ray Ray.
UPDATE: Faulkner has released an e-mail saying that Ray Ray still has to be cleared academically. His name will be added to the roster once he is cleared.
