Miami Hurricanes Football: Injury Report vs. Boston College, 2012

by Hurricanes Football

Only two days until Miami hands Boston College their first loss of the season.

For the time being, the Hurricanes appear to be almost 100% healthy.  With fall camp officially at an end, thankfully the ‘Canes sustained minimal injuries.

Read on for a list of who is out/questionable for the opener.

Miami

* LB Raphael Kirby – lower extremity (leg), out

* DT Curtis Porter – upper extremity (appendectomy), out

Boston College

* RB Rolandan Finch – lower extremity (foot), questionable

* TE Mike Naples – undisclosed injury, doubtful

* DB Albert Louis-Jean – lower extremity (foot), out

* TE Chris Pantale – lower extremity (ankle), out

According to the ‘Canes injury report, there are zero players are listed as doubtful/probable.  There are also no players listed under “Surgeries/Out for Season.”  Good to see.

Coach Al Golden hopes LB Raphael Kirby will be available by mid-season.

RT Seantrel Henderson will not make the trip to Boston College.  Henderson has been active on the scout team and Golden hopes that the big man will be able to work his way back into a starting position.   I must admit, I am eager to see what RT Ereck Flowers can do.  He has received praise all through fall camp.

Last year Miami opened their season on the road, in a nationally televised game at Maryland.  To say the least, the ‘Canes were far from full-strength.  Remember our dear friend Nevin Shapiro?  You know, the swine ex-booster turned ponzi scheemer.  Due to the convicted felon’s allegations, Miami was forced to suspend eight of its players, five of which were starters.

QB Jacory Harris, LB Sean Spence, DE Olivier Vernon, DT Marcus Forston and S Ray Ray Armstrong were all absent against the Terrapins.
