The Miami Herald is reporting that DT Luther Robinson will not be traveling to Kansas State this Saturday.  Per their report, “Canesport.com first released the news as well as a UM official who chose to remain unidentified.”

According to the official, “Robinson wasn’t out there all week, so I don’t believe he’ll be traveling.  He’s currently on the team, but his status is shaky.”

Certainly not good news for the ‘Canes who are already thin at defensive tackle.

As reported by Canesport, “apparently, his [Luther's] dad went off on the coaches this week because he thought Robinson should have played more in Boston…Luther got caught up in it and actually refused to practice at least one day this week.  Details beyond that are pretty sketchy.”

Robinson was responsible for a forced fumble is last week’s game at Boston College that was later recovered by DB Ladarius Gunter.

In the latest depth chart released by UM, Robinson is listed as the co-backup at defensive tackle along with Corey King, both behind sophomore starter Olsen Pierre.

Head coach Al Golden said that King would travel to Kansas State but remained mum about Robinson.

Stay tuned…
