Miami Hurricanes Football: Miami Releases Latest Injury Report

The University of Miami has released their latest injury report.  It is as follows:

PROBABLE

* LB Raphael Kirby – lower extremity.  Kirby has yet to see the field in his Miami career and if he does see action this Saturday, coaches say that it will be limited.

OUT

* LB Denzel Perryman – lower extremity

OUT FOR SEASON

* LB Ramon Buchanan – lower extremity

* WR Malcolm Lewis – lower extremity

* LS Sean McNally – lower extremity

*P Dalton Botts was not listed on the injury report.

In other news:

The ‘Canes unknowingly (or, perhaps knowingly) face quite a challenge on Saturday vs. NC State.  You see, for the past four years following the Georgia Tech game, the Miami Hurricanes have lost the following game.  Interesting stat to keep in mind.

* In 2008, Miami lost on the road at NC State, 28-38

* In 2009, Miami lost on the road at Virginia Tech, 31-7.  Remember the rain?

* In 2010, Miami lost again to Virginia Tech, this time at home.  The final score was 31-17.

* In 2011, Miami lost at home to Virginia, 28-21.

Hopefully this streak will continue no longer.  It would be nice to see Miami come out strong against the Wolfpack, much like last Saturday, but this time hold onto the lead.  They cannot afford to keep playing from behind all year.
