With week 4 of the NFL officially in the books, let’s have a look at how the pro ‘Canes did, shall we.

- Redskins S Brandon Merriweather was declared out against the Tampa Bay Bucs after he collided with WR Aldrick Robinson in the end zone during pregame warmups. WR Leonard Hankerson caught seven passes for 57 yards in the Skins win against the Bucs.
- Giants S Kenny Phillips suffered a right knee sprain in Sunday nights game against the Eagles.
- Rookie Browns WR Travis Benjamin saw significant playing time in Thursday’s game against the Ravens. Benjamin played 45 of 71 snaps in the Browns loss.
- Falcons K Matt Bosher kicked the game-winning field goal against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Bosher hit a 40-yarder that kept the Falcons undefeated on the year.
- Panthers TE Greg Olsen led the team in receiving yards with six receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown. Olsen scored on a 17-yard pass from QB Cam Newton.
- Niners RB Frank Gore had 21 carries for 62 yards and one touchdown during San Fran’s win against the New York Jets.
- Texans WR Andre Johnson had 3 receptions for 56 yards.
- Broncos RB Willis McGahee reeled off 19 caries for 112 yards and one touchdown against the Oakland Raiders. That showing was McGahee’s 32nd career 100-yard game, the most of any active player.
- Saints TE Jimmy Graham had 7 receptions for 76 yards in New Orleans loss to Green Bay.
- DT Warren Sapp is one of 127 nominees for this year’s Hall of Fame. Sapp was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl winner with Tampa Bay in 2003. He played nine seasons with the Bucs and four with Oakland.
