The Sun-Sentinel has confirmed that backup DE Kelvin Cain has been reinstated to the Miami Hurricanes football team.

Cain’s name was not listed on Miami’s roster in late October, shortly before it was announced that he had left the team.  The backup defensive end has been reinstated and has been taking reps on the Miami scout team.

Head coach Al Golden told the Sun-Sentinel, “It’s personal, but he’s been reinstated.  He sorted some things out, so I’m happy for the young man.  It’s good to see him back out here today.”

The junior from Clovis, CA. was rated the 10th best outside linebacker in the state of California.  In 2011, Cain started in two games for Miami and tallied 20 tackles and scored a touchdown on a 59-yard interception against Bethune-Cookman.
