Miami received some good news today when Pierce Community College (CA.) TE Beau Sandland committed to the University of Miami.
Sandland (6-6, 260) is the top-ranked JUCO TE in the nation and chose Miami over Arizona State and Nebraska.
On why he decided to pick Miami, Sandland told Inside The U, “It was really the relationship that I built with the coaching staff, their resume, their experience and their expertise…they return their quarterback and they have a need at tight end while being on the verge of doing something special.”
As a JUCO, Sandland only has two years of eligibility left but looks to make an immediate impact in Coral Gables. With the recent de-commitment of Tampa Jesuit TE Travis Johnson, Miami appears to have upgraded, in regards to experience, with Sandland.
Per Inside The U, “I feel like the future is bright and I can go as far as I want there,” said Sandland. “They have all the tools and they’ve proven they can win big in the past. They have such a great tradition and high expectations.”
