Atlantic (Delray Beach, Fla.) DT Keith Bryant’s recruiting can be summed up in one word – circus.
The stand-out defensive tackle who was once committed to Miami was considered by many to be a Florida State lean – but not so fast Seminoles fans, Bryant’s recruitment has taken yet another wild turn.
Bryant announced that FAU would receive his final visit. He told the Palm Beach Post that “…he’ll spend his final official visit before signing day at Florida Atlantic.”
So out of all of the big-time offers that Bryant has received, why would he choose to end his recruitment with FAU? Well, the Post is reporting that Bryant “will make the trip this coming weekend [Feb. 1] with Atlantic teammate Todney Evans, whom FAU has targeted for much of the recruiting cycle.”
Perhaps Bryant is going for moral support – and what a good friend he would be to do so. His buddy should feel honored that he would choose FAU over the likes of LSU or Alabama. On the other hand, Bryant couldn’t possibly be considering FAU…could he? No disrespect to FAU of course.
Bryant tweeted the following on Jan. 29, one day after announcing his visit to FAU:
(@BasedBoyKeith97): Coach golden coming thru Friday I can’t Wait.”
It appears that Miami is still a serious contender.
Following the aforementioned, Bryant tweeted:
(@BasedBoyKeith97): Bruh you know it’s a cane thing.”
The “bruh’ to whom Bryant was referring to I am unaware. However, it seems that Miami still has a legitimate shot at landing the four-star tackle. Aside from the fact that Bryant is a complete stud, Miami is thin at DT and Bryant would help to fill a much needed void.
Stay tuned. Perhaps the Miami-Florida State battle just gained another challenger.
Bryant lists offers from Oklahoma, South Carolina, Miami, Florida State and Louisville, per 247Sports.
