The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that South Plantation 5-star RB Alex Collins may be wavering on his Arkansas commitment. Is Miami back in the mix?
According to the Sentinel, Collins was scheduled to fax his signed letter of intent to Arkansas early Wednesday morning. The letter has yet to be received.
Plantation athletic director Mike Collins told the Steve Gorten of the Sentinel:
We’re going to give the family as much time as they need to make the right decision. At this time there’s no indication of anything other than the original plan. The family just wants more time.”
Collins was a one-time Miami commitment, decided to re-open his recruitment following Miami’s ongoing investigation by the NCAA. The possibility of sanctions played a major part in Collins decision to drop Miami, but he has always shown interest in UM.
As the recruiting saga continues, stay tuned for more on Collins as the information is gathered.

*UPDATE: Corey Long of ESPN is reporting that Collins’ mother evidently confiscated his LOI papers. If the student is underage, a parent must sign the LOI in order for the papers to be deemed legitimate. Stay tuned for the latest on Collins.
