Basketball (M): Miami Hurricanes Jump To No. 3 In Latest AP Poll

Following their 87-61 drubbing of North Carolina on Feb. 9, the Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team slid up five spots to No. 3 in the latest AP Poll, their highest ranking in program history.

Miami sits behind No.2 Duke (whom they beat handily in Coral Gables, 90-63) and No. 1 Indiana.

The Canes’ remain undefeated in ACC play, knocking off Boston College (72-50) and UNC (87-61) in games that weren’t even close.  Miami (1,499) received 17 first place votes in the latest poll and only 60 votes separate them from 1st place Indiana (1,559).

Miami will hit the road for two consecutive games stopping in Tallahassee on Feb. 13 for a match-up against rival Florida State and at Clemson on Feb. 17.
