  • Grade: 52
  • Height: 5’10″
  • Arm Length: 31 5/8″
  • Weight: 223 lbs.
  • Hands: 9 3/4″

Coming out of high school in 2009, James ranked as the No. 21 running back and the No. 43 ranked player in the state of his native Florida, per Rivals.  James held offers from Miami, Louisville, Purdue, South Florida and Syracuse to name a few.

2012 Season

  • Started all 12 games at running back
  • 621 rushing yards; 6 rushing touchdowns
  • 344 receiving yards; 3 receiving touchdowns
  • Became 38th rusher in UM history to rush for 1,000 yards

Strengths/Weaknesses

Strengths: Powerful build, with a thick lower half.  Runs behind his pads, and keeps his legs churning on contact.  Fights for the extra yard, often falls forward.  Tough to bring down with arm tackle…

Weaknesses: Not a burner, won’t break off many big runs.  Initial explosiveness is only average.  Vision isn’t great…
