2013 NCAA Tournament: Miami Hurricanes A No. 2 Seed

After winning both the ACC and ACC Tournament, the No. 9 Miami Hurricanes were given a No. 2 seed going into the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

The Hurricanes will represent the East Region and will face Pacific (22-12, 14-5 Big West) this Friday in Austin, TX.  The Tigers became the automatic qualifier from the Big West Conference winning 9-of-11 of their final games.

Louisville earned the top overall seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, while Kansas, Indiana and Gonzaga each gained a No. 1 seed.

Miami joins Ohio State, Duke and Georgetown as No. 2 seeds.

Kentucky, who won the 2012 NCAA title, will find themselves watching from the sidelines after their quarterfinal loss in the SEC has denied them participation in this year’s tournament.

The 2013 NCAA Tournament will kick-off on Tuesday in Dayton, OH.  The Final Four will be played in Atlanta, GA. and begins on April 6.
