McDermott (6-6, 285), who is rated the No. 3 OT according to the 247Composite, lists offers from many of the nations top programs such as Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Florida State and Ohio State (247 Sports), but ultimately McDermott’s decision came down to two schools – Miami (FL.) and Notre Dame.
To Hurricane fans, the name McDermott should ring a bell. Kc happens to be the younger brother of current Miami OT Shane McDermott.
The younger McDermott becomes Miami’s third 2014 offensive line commit joining 3-star Nick Linder and 4-star Trevor Darling.
