Recruiting: Hurricanes' Add JUCO DT Dalvon Stuckey

Al Golden and the Miami Hurricanes’ received a surprise commitment on Wednesday when JUCO DT Dalvon Stuckey pledged to UM.

Stuckey’s commitment was first reported by SB Nation (yes, a friendly competitor) when they released the following tweet:

Stuckey, who originally signed with Florida State in 2012, tweeted the following:

The 6-3, 300-pound defensive tackle committed to ‘Canes defensive line coach Jethro Franklin.

Stuckey would never showcase his talents in Tallahassee, but instead took his talents to Pearl River Community College in Mississippi.  On why he chose Miami, Stuckey told 247Sports:

Miami is a great school with so much tradition, why not?  I’ll have a chance to play as soon as I get out there.”

Stuckey held offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Louisville and LSU (Rivals.com).  He is rated as the 222nd overall prospect in the nation and the 31st overall prospect in the state of Florida (247Sports).
