The three-star Kaaya (6-4, 215) received a UM offer in March, his first offer to boot, and from there insists that the Hurricanes’ were the team to beat.

Kaaya told 247Sports, “They [UM] were the first school to offer me.  Right from that moment, they had an advantage and really after I went and took an unofficial visit there, they were going to be tough to beat.  It just felt right to commit now.”

Kaaya holds one other offer from San Diego State and ranks as the No. 27 overall Pro-Style quarterback (247Composite).

In his junior season, Kaaya completed 126 passes for 1,875 yards with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions (247Sports).

He becomes Miami’s second 2014 quarterback commitment joining Alin Edouard (Hialeah, Fla.)
