With football season less than 100 days away, the Miami Hurricanes will open their 2013 season against FAU.
The Hurricanes’ season opener against FAU on Friday, Aug. 30 at Sun Life Stadium is slated for an 8 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
Just over a week later, Miami takes on in-state rival Florida, also to be played at Sun Life Stadium. Game time is scheduled for noon on Sept. 7 and will air on ESPN.
FAU ‘s match-up against UM will mark the first meeting between the two programs with the Owls as a member of the Conference USA. According to the team’s official site, it will also be the first time that both teams will meet in a season opener.
The 2013 UM-FAU game will be the first of a three-game series. The Hurricanes will travel to face the Owls in 2015.
The Hurricanes and the Gators last met in 2008 when Miami suffered a 26-3 loss in Gainesville. The Hurricanes lead the all-time series, 28-26.
