Baseball: Miami Hurricanes' Shutout Clemson, 7-0

The Miami Hurricanes’ baseball team ended the 2013 ACC Baseball Championship with a shutout over Clemson, 7-0.

UM dropped the championship opener to UNC, 10-0, and would lose in their next match-up to NC State, 7-1.

Junior pitcher Bryan Radziewski continued to wow limiting Clemson to just four hits.  Radziewski was named to the 2013 All-ACC First Team prior to the tournament.

The Hurricanes, who were without skipper Jim Morris (illness), have held the Tigers’ scoreless for a total of 25 consecutive innings.

Following Miami’s victory, Radziewski told Hurricane Sports, “I was just able to locate my pitches and keep hitters off-balance.  I think I had a good feel for all of my off-speed pitches, so whenever you have that, it should be a good game.”

Miami racked up nine hits and freshman David Thompson reached base for the 25th consecutive game.

The Hurricanes’ must now wait to see if they will make it into the postseason.  The NCAA Tournament Selection Show will air on Monday at noon on ESPNU/WatchESPN.
