On Monday, the Miami Hurricanes baseball team earned a trip to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship for the 41st consecutive time.
According to the Hurricanes’ official athletic site, the Hurricanes’ 2013 selection marks the marks the program’s NCAA record-tying 41st consecutive trip to the postseason.
Miami is placed in the Louisville Regional as a No. 2 seed and will join the No. 1 seed Louisville, No. 3 Oklahoma State and No. 4 Bowling Green for the first round of competition.
Of the 64 teams to participate, eight teams were selected from the ACC and four hosts were chosen, including Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech, all of whom were selected on Sunday’s Selection Show which aired on ESPNU.

The NCAA Regionals will begin on Friday, May 31 and will end on Monday, June 3. The winners of each Region (8) will advance to the Super Regionals (June 7-10). From there, the eight winners of the Super Regionals will advance to the Men’s College World Series which will begin on June 15 in Omaha, Neb.
