The Miami Hurricanes received their third quarterback commitment in the 2014 class, the latest coming from Faith Academy (Mobile, AL.) QB Malik Rosier.
The Hurricanes have long been a favorite of Rosier’s and on Tuesday he announced his intent to play for head coach Al Golden.
“I really Miami and my mom really likes Miami,” Rosier told the Press-Register. We kind of sat down and she said, ‘If you like them, what is really the point in waiting any longer?’ That made sense to me so I went ahead and committed.”
The 3-star quarterback chose the Hurricanes over Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State, Northern Illinois and Southern Miss.
In 2012, Rosier (6-2, 205) threw for 2,238 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,002 yards and added 12 rushing touchdowns (247Sports).
Rosier becomes the Hurricanes’ 18th commitment in the 2014 class and the third quarterback commitment, joining Brad Kaaya and Alin Edouard.
