Basketball: Orlando SG Adonys Henriquez Decommits From UM

2014 Orlando Christian Prep (Orlando, FL) SG Adonys Henriquez has officially decommitted from the University of Miami.

Henriquez made the announcement via Twitter and tweeted the following:

The 6-7, 205-pound guard had been committed to the Hurricanes’ since December.  Henriquez holds offers from UConn, Florida, Florida State and Virginia Tech, among others.  He is ranked as the No. 27 shooting guard in the nation and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Florida (247Composite).  Henriquez is rated a 4-star prospect by 247Sports.

The Hurricanes currently have two players committed in the 2014 class – 4-star PG Ja’Quan Newton (Philadelphia, PA) and 3-star SG James Palmer (Washington, DC).  Their 2014 class ranks at No. 19 in the nation and No. 5 among the ACC.
