DT Anthony Moten pledges to Miami

On Wednesday St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) DT Anthony Moten verbally pledged to Al Golden and the Miami Hurricanes.

Moten, who holds over 30 offers, chose the Hurricanes over Florida State and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-4 defensive tackle and one-time Florida Gator commit made his announcement via South Florida High School Sports saying, “It came down to my family and a good coaching staff.”

“They run the same scheme that we run down here at St. Thomas and I feel like I can fit right in,” said Moten.

A consensus 4-star prospect, Moten is ranked the No. 21 defensive tackle in the nation and the No. 32 prospect in the state of Florida (247Comsposite).

Moten becomes the 27th commit in Miami’s 2014 class and will join tackles Travonte Valentine, Michael Wyche, Dalvon Stuckey and Courtel Jenkins.
