Four-Star 2015 RB Jordan Scarlett Commits to Miami

During “The Opening” on Tuesday night, running back Jordan Scarlett decided to pledge his commitment — and he decided to verbally commit to the Miami Hurricanes. The four-star former University School and now St. Thomas Aquinas star is a big, strong running back that has a college-ready body. He’s 5’10” 210 pounds and I can honestly say that it’s “good weight”.

Scarlett was a FAU commit earlier in the process, but that seemed to be a long-shot even while he was committed there. Since his de-commitment, Miami was seen as the front runner, with FSU and Ohio State lurking right behind them.

With this commitment, the Canes have landed four running back commitments for the 2015 class, assuming Booker T. Washington’s Mark Walton reclassifies from the 2016 class to this class. If not, the Canes have Dexter Williams, Jordan Cronkrite, and now Jordan Scarlett in the mix. If they all stick, that’s just mean to everybody else.

Scarlett becomes the 20th commit for Miami in the 2015 class, and immediately becomes one of the “blue chips” in the class. That’s just how talented he is.

HERE are Scarlett’s high school highlight tapes.
