This is no surprise. Scott Patchan has been a vocal leader of the 2015 class and has called out guys who de-commit on multiple occasions. The Grant-in-aid agreement allows Miami to talk to Patchan without any restrictions and it pretty much locks him in with the Canes come national signing day. Not that this was ever in doubt.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football program signed rising senior defensive end Scott Patchan to a grant-in-aid agreement Monday.
Patchan, rated a four-star prospect by both Rivals.com and ESPN, recorded 56 total tackles including 24 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks as a junior at Freedom High School in Tampa, Fla. He recently transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for his senior season.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Patchan is rated as the 16th best defensive end in the Class of 2015 by 247Sports. He also earned a top 20 rating at his position from Rivals.com (19) and a top 30 rating at his position from ESPN (30).
