The Miami Hurricanes head to Raleigh, NC for their last road game of the regular season Saturday as they get ready to face the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The game at North Carolina State is the Hurricanes fifth road game in the last five weeks. Miami lost at Virginia Tech and Notre Dame, before returning home with a win over Pittsburgh and then won at Virginia last week.

A week after scoring 51 on the Panthers, the Hurricanes offense continued to roll in Charlottesville. Brad Kaaya continued to make big plays through the air, throwing for 228 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. That comes after 356 yards and four touchdowns without a pick against Pitt.

The Hurricanes run game continued its resurgence against the Cavaliers. They posted 222 yards on 42 carries and two touchdowns last week. That exceeded their 178 yards performance on 36 attempts and two tds against Pittsburgh.

Mark Walton went over 100 yards for the second straight game. The Pittsburgh game was his first since he eclipsed the century mark in the Hurricanes week three win over Appalachian State. Gus Edwards had his biggest game since the season-opening win over Florida A&M. Edwards ran for 68 yards on 11 carries.

Ahmmon Richards had another big game for the Hurricanes. He had three receptions for 100 yards, including a 77 yards touchdown reception from Kaaya. He was the ‘Canes leading receiver. Kaaya did a great job spreading the ball around, no one had more than three receptions.

NC State enters the game after ending a four-game losing streak with a 35-20 victory at Syracuse. The Wolfpack had 544 yards in total offense, including 340 yards passing and a touchdown from Quarterback Ryan Finley.

The Wolfpack also got 108 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Matt Dayes. Finley also spread the ball around well last week. Four different Wolfpack receivers had at least 66 yards.

NC State enters the game 5-5 needing one more win to become bowl eligible. They began the season 4-1 before their four-game losing streak dropped them to 4-5. Four of the five Wolfpack losses are by a combined 21 points. The other loss was a 54-13 rout by Louisville.

Miami can clinch a winning season for the third straight season and fifth time in six years with a win. A win in their last two games should move Miami up in the ACC into a more prestigious Bowl game.
