The Hurricanes defeated South Carolina State 82-56 in their last game. Four Hurricanes finished in double figures. They were led by Freshman D.J. Vasiljevic who scored 17 points off the bench. He gives the ‘Canes a huge boost when he is on.

Vasiljevic is averaging 9.1 points per game and shooting 47 percent from three point range in Miami’s wins. He scored five points and shot 1-6 on threes in their two losses. It was important for him to get back on track after struggling in the five games leading up to Miami’s win over the Bulldogs.

Vasiljevic averaged 3.4 PPG and shot 4-13 on three points attempts in wins over Stanford, Rutgers and Wofford and losses to Iowa State and Florida. He has struggled against teams from the Power Conferences. With a short bench and struggling offense, Jim Larranga is going to need Vasiljevic to produce in conference play if the Hurricanes are going to be successful.
