The preseason prognostications from ESPN have given the Miami Hurricanes a lot of love. It has been spread from their writers to the on air talent on College Gameday. Mark Richt’s team has been getting a lot of praise from the mothership.

The praise for the Miami Hurricanes football team has been spread around. The Hurricanes team as a whole and the individual players have both received accolades. Kirk Herbstreit praised the ‘Canes earlier in the week followed by his Gameday teammate Desmond Howard.

Appearing on Sports Center earlier this week Howard picked the Hurricanes to appear in the College Football Playoff. He has UM appearing with Alabama, Stanford and Wisconsin.

The accolades for the U have extended beyond Howard’s prediction. If the Hurricanes can have the season Howard predicts the individual accolades will follow. In the preseason media poll, several UM players were named to the All-ACC team. ESPN gave the U players a lot of love as well.

In their ACC preseason preview, ESPN Writers Andrea Adelson and David Hale have a handful of Miami players on their All-ACC team.

"RB Mark Walton, Miami: The lone returning 1,000-yard running back in the ACC, Walton is poised to have an even bigger year. WR Ahmmon Richards, Miami: Expectations are high for a 1,000-yard season for the rising sophomore. LB Shaq Quarterman, Miami: A standout as a true freshman, Quarterman enters his sophomore year with his sights set higher. PK Michael Badgley, Miami: Badgley made 21 field goals in 2016, tied for third on the school’s single-season list."
