Six Miami players are listed as out and linebacker Bobby Washington is questionable when the Hurricanes host Louisville on Friday in the initial Student-Athlete Availability Reporting update from the ACC posted on Wednesday night.
Eight Louisville players are listed as out, defensive lineman Micah Carter is questionable and defensive back Rodney Johnson and running back Keyjuan Brown are probable for Friday night. The most notable players out for Louisville are linebacker Stanquan Clark and RB Duke Watson.
None of the Miami players listed as out have made an impact in 2025. Noticably missing from the injury report are running back Jordan Lyle and wide receiver JoJo Trader. Lyle returned against Florida State after missing the three previous games and had seven carries for 18 yards.
Trader started against Florida State but has not played since, according to the official Miami stats. The Miami receiving corps would get a significant boost if Trader is able to make an impact during the remainder of the season.
No surprises on Miami’s first availability report ahead of Friday night’s matchup with Louisville.

Clark, who was in the same class at Miami Center as Rueben Bain, had seven tackles in two games before suffering what is expected to be a season-ending leg injury, according to Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm. Brown is second on Louisville with 25 carries and 126 rushing yards and tied for first with three touchdowns.
Watson is third on Louisville with 24 carries, but only has 64 rushing yards while adding three receptions for 39 yards and a TD. If Brown cannot play, that will put a lot of pressure on starting running back, Issac Brown, with Watson out.
Issac Brown, who is from Homestead, leads Louisville with 46 carries for 334 yards and three TDs and has nine receptions for 36 yards. Isaac Brown has not had more than 14 carries in a game in 2025. Louisville would be extremely thin at RB without Keyjuan Brown and Watson.
Miami appears to be as close to fully healthy as they have been all season. Lyle and Trader were also off the injury list at Florida State. How many carries Lyle receives against Louisville and if Trader plays, will be storylines to watch for Miami versus Louisville.
