Miami offensive linemen Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola were named to the Pro Football Focus ACC Team of the Week for their performances against Bethune-Cookman. Okunlola had the ninth-highest PFF grade on Miami and Mauigoa was second, per David Lake of Inside the U.
According to Lake, Okunlola had an 87.3 pass-blocking grade and a 72.7 run-blocking grade without allowing a sack or pressure. Okunlola did not start but played a team-high 49 snaps at left guard against Bethune-Cookman. With Okunlola healthy in 2025 Miami gains an elite talent on the OL.
Mauigoa had an exceptional 90.0 run blocking grade and 73.4 pass blocking grade with one pressure allowed per Lake. Miami allowed three tackles for loss, two sacks and no quarterback hits while running for 199 yards on 30 carries in a 45-3 win over Bethune-Cookman.
Carson Beck and Emory Williams combined to complete 30 passes in 36 attempts for 344 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Early in the season, Mauigoa is challenging to become an All-American in 2025 and earn All-ACC again.
Many Miami Hurricanes graded out well against Bethune-Cookman, but a couple plays who really stood out to me under the radar are nickel KEIONTE SCOTT and OL Samson Okunlola.

Pro Football Focus ranked Miami with the eighth-best OL entering the 2025 season. Mauinoa was the first player mentioned in the PFF summary of the Miami OL as the only tackle nationally in 2024 with two or fewer sacks and hits allowed on 500 plus pass-blocking snaps.
Mauinoa anchors an elite left side of the Miami OL. Pro Football Focus stated the left side of the Miami OL was more uncertain. Okunlola playing a significant role on the left side of the Miami OL gives the Hurricanes a former five-star signee on each side of the offensive front.
Through two weeks of the 2025 season, Miami is 53rd nationally, averaging 4.90 yards per carry, sixth permitting 2.5 TFLs allowed per game and 57th, with opponents posting 1.5 sacks per game. Miami is 42nd nationally, averaging 441.0 yards per game and 42nd, posting 4.58 yards per play and 43rd with 36.0 points per game.
