#18, WR Lawrence Cager: 6’5-215

Lawrence Cager comes in 2nd on the depth chart at one of the wide receiver positions, behind redshirt senior Rashawn Scott. Cager has been extremely impressive throughout camp and has given DBs an immense of amount of trouble with his physical attributes. Cager’s 6’5 frame partnered with his 34 inch vertical and 4.5 forty make him a great down field threat. He can run by the DBs or just go right up over them to haul in a catch. Cager can also be the big redzone threat that the Canes have been missing over the last few years. If Lawrence Cager can continue to dominate like he did in camp, he will be one of the top freshman receivers in the country. Brad Kaaya seems to have built some good chemistry with Cager already and knows that if he puts it up high, there’s a good chance that Cager will go up and get it. After hearing how dominant Lawrence Cager has been in camp and seeing it live as well, it will be very exciting to finally see him perform during his first real college game.
