#74, LG Tyler Gauthier: 6’5-315

Tyler Gauthier is currently second on the depth chart at left guard, behind only Alex Gall. As one of the lower ranked players in the Canes’ 2015 class, Gauthier was not expected to contribute so quickly, but his rapid growth and development is definitely a much welcomed sight. Gauthier is a player that has always shown incredible strength from the time he was in high school, but has greatly improved his quickness and footwork over the last few months. Art Kehoe has spoken highly of Gauthier and his run blocking has been very impressive early on. Miami loves to rotate their offensive line throughout games, so Gauthier should see plenty of snaps relatively quickly. If the Canes can get some solid and consistent play from Tyler Gauthier, it would provide a huge boost to an offensive line that is relatively inexperienced and not too deep.
