#7, NT Kendrick Norton: 6’3-318

Kendrick Norton is listed as the second team nose tackle behind Calvin Heurtelou. When viewing fall practice, it was hard not to notice how big Kendrick Norton is, especially his lower half. Norton has an extremely solid base and has shown great strength and explosion on the interior defensive line. Throughout the camp scrimmages, Norton was a force inside and racked up multiple sacks and tackles for loss. Kendrick Norton was always one of the first names mentioned when a coach was asked about freshmen that could make an immediate impact. Miami’s defense has been missing a difference maker in the middle of the line for the last few years, but Norton looks like he is set to change that. Kendrick Norton will undoubtedly see plenty of playing time early on and will hopefully carry his camp success into the regular season.
