4. Travis Benjamin Doing Travis Benjamin Things
In the same 2011 game, I got a chance to remember how awesome it was to watch Travis Benjamin on special teams. Benjamin was so much faster than everyone else on the field against FBS talent, so watching him against an FCS school was like playing a video game.
Benjamin didn’t take this punt return back to the house against Bethune Cookman, but you could see the different level speed the dude has.
OK, so he breaks the initial tackle and then he heads upfield down the sideline. He gets a MONSTER block by his teammate and he seems to get even faster. He gets tackled by the punter here, which is pretty disappointing. After watching this, I’m predicting that the Hurricanes return at least one kick on Saturday against the Wildcats.
