3. Lamar Miller 43-yard touchdown run

Before Lamar Miller was doing things for the Miami Dolphins at SunLife Stadium, he was doing things for the Miami Hurricanes at SunLife Stadium.

It’s always hard to forget how good Miller was/is because he plays for the hometown Dolphins. But when you see him run against college competition, you can’t help but smile because it looked so effortlessly for him. And watching this highlight made me so sad that we didn’t get a Miller/Mike James/Duke Johnson backfield in 2012.

But anyway, here’s that 43-yard touchdown run by Miller in 2011.

See what I mean about effortless speed? Sure, it was against an inferior opponent, but it was still as smooth of a 43-yard run as one can get. Miller got a nice block by Tommy Streeter on that play, and it’s not the only good thing number 8 did that afternoon.
