Which offensive player are you most excited to watch this year?

Juan Toribio: I’m going to go with Stacy Coley. Coley was one of the best playmakers in the country as a freshman. During his sophomore year he battled a shoulder injury that hurt his production, even though he wouldn’t admit that when I asked him during camp. Coley is going to take over the Phillip Dorsett role this season and I think he’s going to thrive again this season. After his down year, some people have forgotten just how talented this guy is. And I’m also excited to watch Brad Kaaya, but who isn’t?

Harry Kroll: I assume most people are going to go with Brad Kaaya, because that’s really the only answer here. Because of that, I’ll say Stacy Coley. He and the coaches are raving about how he’s a completely changed player from last year and could even surpass the exhilarating heights of his freshman year. If he can even be the same player he was from that campaign, Miami will have one of the best playmakers in the ACC every weekend.

Daniel Gould: Stacy Coley. And that’s including Brad Kaaya. He’s probably the most talented player on the team and easily the most explosive on offense. His sophomore year reminds me of Deon Bush’s, where Bush could just never get recovered from his preseason injuries. I fully expect a big bounce back year for Coley. I expect he’s going to get a lot of touches in different ways (not just screens!).

Shanon Culiner: The offensive player I’m most excited to watch this year is quarterback, Brad Kaaya (as I’m sure a lot of others are too). Kaaya was thrown into the 2014 season as a true freshman, winning the starting job after Ryan Williams went out. And, he wins “2014 ACC Rookie of the Year”. I can’t wait to see what he can do in his sophomore season with a year of game experience under his belt and as the undisputed leader of the Canes.

Daniel Nordwall: The offensive player to watch this year is Rashawn Scott. Scott is a NFL type of wide receiver, and has showed glimpses of great potential before his injury. He is the leader of a very talented wide receiver group, and it will be exciting to see what type of impact he will have this season.

Sam Jacobs: Every time Miami’s offense takes the field, the eyes will be on Kaaya. He’s been notched as the next great Hurricanes quarterback, and he’s one of the few optimistic things surrounding this program.

Justin Fessenden: I won’t have the most flashy answer here but I’m going with Brad Kaaya. I am excited to see Brad’s progression from year 1 to year 2. The fact that Brad wasn’t even an early enrollee last year and came in and did what he was able to do is astonishing. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Brad this offseason so I am very excited to see how it all translates onto the field.
