4. Which players do you think will make a big impact against Nebraska on Saturday?

Juan Toribio: This is such a boring answer, but my answer is Brad Kaaya. The sophomore quarterback still hasn’t shown his full arsenal this season and I think Saturday is the day. The Nebraska secondary isn’t very good and Miami has all the talent to expose it, and of course, it starts with number 15. I don’t want to make a numbers prediction, but I think Kaaya has a pretty big day on Saturday.

Daniel Gould: Deon Bush is the best player on defense and Miami will need a big performance from him to beat Nebraska. I already mentioned him, but Stacy Coley is going to have his welcome back party this Saturday. It has been a while since the real Stacy Coley has shown up on a football field, Nebraska is going to see all that he can bring to it.

Shanon Culiner: I think you’ll see a solid offense overall come Saturday vs. Nebraska. With that said, Joe Yearby, Brad Kaaya and Standish Dobard should have a big impact. The ‘Huskers gave up 33 points to BYU and I believe Miami has a much better offense than the Cougars. Even last year in our loss to Nebraska, Miami still put up 31 points. Now, will the defense make an impact? I’m not too sure. But, I do believe there will be a few big-time performances from our key offensive players against the Cornhuskers.

Justin Fessenden: I’m going to go with Brad Kaaya on offense and Tyriq McCord on defense. On offense, I think the Canes will have to beat the Cornhuskers through the air because they will slow down the run (Nebraska D-Line > Canes O-Line). Kaaya will be up to the challenge and will have his best game of the year so far. On defense, Tyriq McCord will fill in for injured linebacker Darrion Owens and he will make his presence known. McCord is a playmaker whenever he’s on the field and Saturday afternoon will be no exception.

Daniel Nordwall: I think a player to a have a big impact is Tyriq McCord. With Owens out, the defense will rely on him heavily. McCord is an excellent athlete, and it’s time to make a name for himself in the 2015 season. Also, Deon Bush will play big on Saturday. “Big time players make big time plays in the big time games.” Offensively, I think Brad Kaaya will have the biggest impact. His performance will determine the outcome of the game.
