Miami Hurricanes: Who Would Replace Al Golden Next Year if He Gets Fired?

I think this choice is the least likely to be the Miami Hurricanes’ head coach come 2016. However, many in Texas are already calling for his firing as the Longhorns’ second-year head coach. It just doesn’t seem like a good fit. Even a staffer for the Texas Rangers tweeted out “Fire Charlie.# Bye.”
However, Strong may’ve won over some after beating Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry this past Saturday, 24-17.
But, if Texas decides to turn on Strong by the end of the year, I couldn’t think of a better fit than Miami.
Strong knows the state of Florida very well. He had numerous stints coaching with the Florida Gators and worked his way up to defensive coordinator, winning National Titles under Urban Meyer.
As the head coach of Louisville, he took an average Cardinals team and turned them dominant … crushing the Gators in the Sugar Bowl and the Hurricanes in the Russell Athletic Bowl. And, those Louisville rosters were full of Florida-grown talent.
Strong is a tough-minded guy who builds both tough defenses and tough players. I would gladly welcome him to Miami.
