Tyriq “The Freak” McCord

McCord is the most veteran of all ‘Canes linebackers as a true senior. He’s also coming off a solid junior season, so hopefully he’ll continue to build on it.

Thankfully, McCord registered one of his better games against VaTech as the second leading tackler with 5 tackles (2 solo; 3 assisted).

He has accumulated a total of 15 tackles on the year.

A former 4-star recruit playing out of Jefferson High School (Tampa, FL), McCord is listed at 6’3″ and 241 pounds.

Bottom line, McCord needs to take his experience and freak-like athleticism and help lead this Miami defense going forward.
