Mike Smith
Another redshirt freshman, Smith hadn’t recorded any statistics up until the Virginia Tech game. Against the Hokies, he made 2 solo tackles … a running back for no gain and then, Isaiah Ford after a 24 yard completion.
Smith seems to have the ability, but now, in his early college career, would be the perfect moment to see it all come to fruition on the playing field.
Smith is listed at 6’1″ and 224 pounds and hails from Northwestern High School in Miami, FL.
Though a 3-star recruit, he had multiple offers and chose the ‘Canes over schools such as: Arkansas, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville and Tennessee.
