You believe that the only college football programs to carry any relevance are: Florida State, Florida, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Alabama, Penn State and maybe … Ohio State. 

It feels like an eternity since the Miami Hurricanes were relevant again in college football. Year after year, ‘Canes fans get their hopes up only to come crashing down mid-season.

Nevertheless, about 15 years ago, the ‘Canes were playing for a National Title (after winning their fifth National Championship the year before). Most schools have never even been to a championship game.

With that said, throughout the past 30 years or so, the hurricanes have had some serious rivalries, battles and there was always a lot at stake.
