Hurricanes Fall Camp 2016: Offensive Preview

At Georgia, Richt produced big names such as Todd Gurley, Knowshon Moreno, and Nick Chubb. The Hurricanes backfield of Mark Walton, Joe Yearby, Gus Edwards and Trayone Gray will benefit greatly with Richt’s offensive scheme in the power run game.
Last year, Yearby rushed for 1,002 yards and six touchdowns. Walton showed explosiveness last season leading the team with ten rushing touchdowns. Despite some off the field issues in the summer, Walton should be ready to compete for the starting job.
The story of training camp will be the return of Edwards, who sat the 2015 season out due to a foot injury. Edwards has displayed glimpses of greatness but also has shown instances when he does not use his size (6’1 230 pounds) effectively. Edwards showed Richt promise in the off-season:
