Competing in her first Olympics, Maric finished 25th in the qualifying round and did not advance to the semifinals. The top 18 divers qualify for the semis. Mexico’s Dolores Hernandez captured the final semifinal spot with 295.20 points. Maric finished with 271.40. Jennifer Abel of Canada who finished fourth in the finals, led all scores in the preliminary round with 373.00 points. The final scores received are calculated by taking a diver’s degree of difficulty multiplied by their scores.
