Miami Hurricanes Coach Katie Meier

Katie Meier, Coaching, 2005-Present

Meier has been Hurricanes Women’s basketball coach since 2005. She grew up in Wheaton, Il and played collegiately at Duke. Prior to coming to Miami, Meier was the Head Coach at Charlotte. She led the 49ers to a 76-45 record. one NCAA Tournament appearance and two WNIT appearances.

Under Meier, the Hurricanes have gone 207-143. She has a career record of 283-188. In 2011, the Hurricanes finished 26-3, were ACC Co-Champions and received their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1992. Meier earned the ACC and National Coach of the Year awards.

Meier is also coaches for USA Basketball. She led the USA team to the Gold Medal in the FIBA Americans Under 18 tournament in 2012 and U19 team to Gold in 2013.
