The Cardinals are led by do-everything Quarterback Lamar Jackson who is the Heisman Trophy frontrunner. Louisville’s only loss was a 42-36 loss at number four Clemson. The Cardinals need Clemson to lose twice to get a spot in the ACC Championship game.

There is a scenario that the Tigers could lose once in the regular season and then lose in the ACC Championship game to the Coastal Champion and leap frog Clemson to get a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Jackson has been the most exciting and best player in college football this season. He’s dominated the ACC. Jackson has the best performance in the ACC this season in eight offensive categories. In the season opener at Syracuse, Jackson had a video game-like performance.

Jackson scorched the Orange for 411 yards passing and199 rushing for an almost unfathomable 610 yards of total offense. He hasn’t caught a pass yet, but I would not rule that out.

If not for a missed 22-yard field goal at the end of regulation last week by NC State Kicker Kyle Bambard, then the Wolfpack would have had one of the biggest upsets of the season and would have put NC State in first place in the Atlantic.

Boise State transfer Ryan Finley has taken over the reigns at Quarterback and played exceptionally well. He has thrown for 1,267 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions this season.

Matt Dayes has given NCST good balance with 669 rushing yards and 123 receiving.

Defensive End Bradley Chub has 8.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. Louisville is led by cornerback Jaire Alexander who is second in the ACC and tied for tenth nationally with three interceptions.
