14. Jim Kelly

Arguably the greatest quarterback in Miami history. Was the first big name signal caller in the Schnellenberger era. Finished his career with 5,228 yards, 33 touchdowns and 28 interceptions.

Led the Hurricanes to the 1981 Peach Bowl title over Virginia Tech and was named the offensive MVP. Became the first Miami quarterback in 18 years and only the second ever to pass for over 2,000 yards in a season. Kelly finished the 1981 season with 2,403 yards, 14 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Kelly began his incredible pro career with the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football League. He is the fourth all-time leading passer in the league’s history. Kelly only played two years in the USFL while the three quarterbacks in front of him in passing yards played in all three years of the League’s existence. He led Mouse Davis’ legendary Houston Gamblers run and shoot offense.

After his time in the USFL, Kelly landed with the Buffalo Bills were continued to lead an innovative offense. The Bills no-huddle K-Gun offense under Marv Levy eventually led Buffalo to four straight AFC titles from 1990-93.

Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
