Mike Harley

Harley is from powerhouse high school St Thomas Aquinas in Ft Lauderdale Florida. Harley has the ability to create mismatches and is an extremely hard cover for anyone who lines up against him. Harley was praised time and time again by opposing corners as invariably one of the toughest covers.

Mark Richt overtly called out the wide receiver’s speed in the past but I’m not sure even he can do that now. Harley is another fast option that gives the offense the ability to stretch the field vertically and horizontally. He could also be utilized on jet sweeps as he averaged 8.9 yards per carry in high school.

Ultimately the Hurricanes are still in a position where new names need to contribute immediately. Last year saw the emergence of first timers like Richards, Joe Jackson, Michael Pinckney, and Shaquille Quarterman step in and shine.

If Miami keeps their track record of development on the field, then you have to like the Hurricane’s chances. Miami has no qualms starting true freshmen or parading new faces. Miami has plenty of options this year as the depth on the Hurricanes roster is beginning to solidify.
