Duke at Miami Hurricanes: Live Streaming and Game Info
After getting a critical win on the road at Virginia on Monday, the Miami Hurricanes return home Saturday to face the Duke Blue Devils on Senior Day.
Miami improved to 19-8, 9-6 in the ACC with the victory over the Cavaliers at John Paul Jones Arena Monday night. Miami will also get back point Ja’Quan Newton who was suspended for the last three games due to “conduct detrimental to the team”
The Hurricanes were 3-0 with Newton sidelined. Freshman Bruce Brown took over at point guard during the suspension. He averaged 36.6 minutes per game despite dealing with a high fever and tonsillitis.
Brown put up 10.3 points per game, 3.3 assists per game and 3.7 rebounds in Newton’s absence, all Miami victories. Brown’s assist to turnover ratio was 1.1 with ten each, but Newton has struggled taking care of the ball this season. Newton’s assist to turnover ratio is 1.04-1 this season

Duke features a drastic departure in style from Virginia. The Cavaliers lead the nation in scoring defense, while Duke is 24th nationally in scoring.
Duke is coming off of a 78-75 loss to Syracuse on a buzzer beater at the Carrier Dome. The loss ended a seven game Blue Devils winning streak. The winning streak came on the heels of a 3-4 start in the ACC.
Duke has battled injury problems all year. Mike Krzyzewski missed a few games in January after back surgery and Freshmen Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum missed a combined 19 games at the beginning of the season.
The Blue Devils are 15-5 in the 20 games Tatum has played and 12-5 in the games Giles has played. After being tied with Kansas’ Joshua Jackson as the top rated high school player in the country a year ago, Giles has not made a huge impact. He is averaging only 4.9 points per game and 4.1 rebounds.
Tatum was the fourth ranked player and is Duke’s second leading scorer at 16.6 PPG. He is also averaging 7.4 RPG ,1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks. Tatum is projected to be selected seventh in June’s NBA draft according to the consensus rankings by NBA Draft.Net. Giles is projected 13th, Luke Kennard 22nd and Grayson Allen 49th.
Duke is listed as a three seed in the latest Bracket Matrix projections for the NCAA Tournament by the Bracket Matrix. That’s the third highest among ACC teams. North Carolina is projected as a one seed and Louisville as a two.
The Hurricanes are currently projected as a nine seed, but have a lot of opportunity to move up in their last three regular season games and the ACC Tournament. Miami is currently 9-6 in the ACC in sixth, but just one game behind a four way tie for second. They lost to all four teams that are tied for the second spot.
Two of their last three games give the Hurricanes a huge opportunity to move up. The Duke game might be the most important since it is their last at home. Miami will also travel to Virginia Tech and Florida State to conclude the regular season.
The Blue Devils and Seminoles are two of four teams notched in that second spot in the conference.
