Results for Njoku and Coley

Miami’s biggest offensive playmakers made their mark in front of teams on Saturday as well. Njoku, a potential first rounder and the second rated tight end behind Alabama’s OJ Howard, and Coley, a highly productive player but an injury prone prospect, posted good results.

Here are the results for Njoku:
40 Yard Dash – 4.64 seconds
Bench Press – 21 reps
Vertical Jump – 37.5 inches (3rd best for TEs)
Broad Jump –  133 inches (11.1 feet – 2nd best for TEs)
Three Cone Drill – 6.97 seconds (3rd best for TEs)
20 Yard Shuttle – 4.34 seconds

Njoku really came on for the Hurricanes mid-season. The 6-foot-4, 246 pound tight end is likely to be another product for Miami to earn their “Tight End U” status among the league. Last season, Njoku caught 43 passes for 698 yards and eight touchdowns.

NFL.com says:

"NFL COMPARISON Greg Olsen BOTTOM LINE Ascending pass catching talent with elite athleticism and enough fight in his run blocking to believe that he can be lined up anywhere on the field at any time. Njoku should annihilate the combine with monster numbers in speed and explosion, but his play on the field shows he’s more than a combine warrior. He is still growing into his body and has to add to his play strength, but his playmaking potential and elite traits should make him a first-round pick and a future Pro Bowler."

Coley earned third team All-ACC by catching 63 passes for 754 yards and nine touchdowns. The wide receiver, who always surfaced in the big moments for the ‘Canes in important games, battled injuries for the most of his career which concerns scouts and NFL teams. He finished his career with 21 touchdowns and over 2000 yards in college so it is likely a team will take a chance on his talents.

Metrics for Coley:

40 Yard Dash – 4.45 seconds
Bench Press – 10 reps
Vertical Jump – 34.0 inches
Broad Jump –  122 inches (10.2 feet)
